NSI Electrical Technicians perform a wide variety of duties associated with Industrial X-Ray system production, installation, and reporting.
Mechanical assembly of capital equipment per drawings, written or verbal instructions
Fabrication of components per engineered drawings or verbal instructions to include cutting, drilling and taping
Electrical assembly per schematics
Wire and cable termination to panel
Preparation of equipment or systems for shipment
Travel Domestically or Internationally to participate in on-site installation of systems
Travel required up to 35%, no stays longer than 2-weeks
Completion of system quality documentation and required ISO 9001 documentation
Maintain and control of stock inventory levels
Other duties as assigned
Must be able to perform overtime & weekend work as needed
Mechanical & electrical aptitude
Knowledge of fabrication & assembly techniques
Blue print and schematics reading
Safe operation of hand & power tools
Good communication skills & be a team player
Working in a manufacturing environment
Experience leading or participating in company improvement projects
Experience and knowledge with In-lining processes and or lean manufacturing
Experience and training in the 5s process
Experience in automation or robotic programming
Experience in direct customer interactions
An understanding and proficiency with ITW philosophies and practices which include:
80/20 - Prioritizing
PLs - Product Line Simplification
USa - Understand, Simplify, Act
In-lining - Simplification of production process
MRD - Market Rate of Demand
Candidate must be able to safely operate hand & power tools, climb ladders of up to 15', bend, twist, kneel, stand for long periods of time, step into cabinets
Travel up to 35%.
