Description/Job Summary

NSI Electrical Technician Inters perform a wide variety of duties associated with Industrial X-Ray system production, installation, and reporting.
 
 

Responsibilities/Duties

Primary Responsibilities
  • Learn and perform duties in mechanical assembly of capital equipment per drawings or verbal instruction
  • Fabrication of components per engineered drawings or verbal instructions to include cutting, drilling and taping
  • Electrical assembly per schematics
  • Wire and cable termination from equipment to electrical panel
  • Cable routing
  • Assist in system power-up and troubleshooting
  • Assist in motion programming and software set-up
  • Preparation of equipment or systems for shipment
Secondary Responsibilities
  • 5S maintenance
  • Completion of system quality documentation and required ISO 9001 documentation
  • Maintain and control of stock inventory levels
  • Other duties as assigned


 
 

Required Skills

  • Mechanical & electrical aptitude
  • Knowledge of fabrication & assembly techniques
  • Blue print and schematics reading
  • Safe operation of hand & power tools
  • Good communication skills and team player abilities
  • Basic knowledge of motion programming

Required Qualifications

  • Candidate must be able to safely operate hand & power tools, climb ladders of up to 15', bend, twist, kneel, stand for extended periods of time, step into cabinets
  • Completion of one semester of electrical or automation course curriculum

Details

Hourly wage for internship program is set at $ 16.00.
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Passing results on both pre-employment drug and background checks (which includes driving record) are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Must be able to provide proof that you are legally able to work in the United States.
  • Steel toed shoes are required for active work in manufacturing, supplied by intern.
