the city of Rogers, just outside Minneapolis, Minnesota. This facility has approximately 90 highly skilled employees including application specialists, mechanical, electrical and software engineers, programmers, level 3 instructors and others.
The Operations Managers primary role is to take daily leadership, management and full operational responsibility for all Supply Chain, Project Management and Manufacturing to meet the business targets for on time delivery, growth and profitability.
This position is responsible for resource scheduling and cross-functional team building. They will evaluate existing plans to ensure growth and profitability and adjust as necessary. The Operations Manager will motivate a team who will carry out
all day to day functions necessary to build and maintain an efficient manufacturing environment.
The Operations Manager is responsible for building and improving critical interfaces between manufacturing, supply chain and project management and must contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of North Star Imaging's strategic plan.This
role is also a strong contributor to the development of long-term strategies, policies and practices aligned with ITW standards.
Other Responsibilities include:
Review sales forecast and prepare the operational strategic plan to address volume and resource requirements.
Provide resource scheduling and guidance to direct reports.
Monitor the daily production throughput for department(s) to ensure that production standards are met and are consistent with pricing guidelines. Deliver within quality and budget targets.
Utilize financial data to improve profitability. Prepare and control operational budgets and inventory. Plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the company.
Oversee and continually update the production schedule.
Through training and other appropriate means, continue to upgrade the skills and industry knowledge of all members of the team.
Develop standards, performance benchmarks, and objective goals. Motivate, manage and develop staff to meet or exceed standards.
Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans short term, as well as strategic plans.
Assure that the quality of production and purchased products meet or exceed the required standards.
Develop and implement systems and controls to ensure that the division’s customer service goal of on time shipping performance is achieved.
Establish a results-oriented management style that measures and evaluates individual contribution against clearly defined performance goals.
Cross functional team building.
Champion a management style and culture that encourages a team environment and cooperation, participative management techniques, and the human relations philosophy of ITW.
Establish and manage a manufacturing environment consistent with ITW’s philosophies of In-Lining, cellularization and product line dedication.
Customer-facing role requiring interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Management experience and training, preferably hands-on
Basic math/algebra skills
Knowledge of basic inspection tools
Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals
