INSPECTION SERVICES GROUP (ISG) X-ray Engineer – Job Location: West Cost Office
BASIC FUNCTION: The primary function of this role is to perform x-ray & CT inspection services on customer supplied products in accordance with customer requirements, written directions and standard industry practices. Additionally will be the technical leader for
training new engineers and technicians as the business grows & will be the functional owner of the operations side of the business.
Develop X-ray and CT technique and scanning plans for customer supplied product.
Work with BDM to quote projects and propose scanning solutions to meet customer’s needs.
Perform x-ray and micro-CT inspections using industrial x-ray system on customer supplied products.
Reconstruct and compile scan data with completed deliverables.
Customer service - interaction with clients and potential clients both on phone and in person to include webinars, onsite meetings, technical expertise, reports and presentations.
Develop full inspection plans from technique development to implementation of volume scanning projects in CT & DR.
Maintain equipment per NSI guidelines.
Maintain and continually develop world class X-ray and CT knowledge.
Promote and lead continuous improvement of CT scanning process.
Must have ability to pass ASNT level II test once hours are documented and completed.
Record keeping of inspections.
Perform applications’ lab studies & demos in support of equipment sales efforts 5-10% of time.
Ensure all documentation is in place for tracking & billing.
Preventive maintenance on x-ray equipment.
Shipping of customer parts and deliverables.
Travel up to 10%.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to achieve ASNT Level II within 1 year.
Technical degree with 5 years on the job experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Physics or STEM engineering field required.
